We are proud to be Ofsted Outstanding 2019 *** TES 2020 winners of Alternative Provision school of the year ***
Working with Stone Soup Academy has been really rewarding. Everyone at Flo is incredibly supportive of the service they provide to young people and their families in Nottingham. We are really excited to build our programme of support to their students and really hope it continues to have a positive impact on their personal development.

No school is an island and here at Stone Soup we value the amazing contributions that local business has on our Academy. We are creating an environment that supports closely the transition for our learners from education to the workplace and the part that business play in this is incredibly important. Already we have many businesses supporting our learners and you could join us too.
The areas that you could support us are diverse and include supporting our students by becoming a business mentor and giving up a little time each term to mentor and coach some of our learners. perhaps you could support a mock interview day or could you sponsor an award or give a reward to motivate our learners to succeed. We are very open to collaborative working and by supporting us you will be fulfilling a crucial part of your corporate social responsibility. Aside from this, it is just great fun and very fulfilling to be involved in creating unimagined futures for our learners.

Flo Charitable Trust is a recently established charity who operate Flo Skatepark in Sneinton for the benefit of the community. We are passionate about skateboarding and the ice culture of art, music and fashion that surround it. We believe in its ability to engage with young people who are not motivated by more traditional sports especially as skateboarding will form part of the next Olympics!
The programme we have developed with Stone Soup provides 90-minute coach-led skateboarding, three times a week for the Key stage 3 and 4 classes which adds breadth to the BTEC sport curriculum. We want to ensure our sessions support the strategies Stone Soup adopt to deliver their learning offer and we are excited to develop our programme and start to add art and photography opportunities as we build our relationship with the staff and pupils.
We are delighted how the groups from Stone Soup have engaged with our activities and it is genuinely a highlight of the week for all of our coaches to see the students get stuck in and progress. We hope this is the beginning of a lasting relationship that will have a positive impact on the education and social development of the students involved and hopefully also creates some awesome skateboarders!
